The Charleston International Music Competition is proud to have over 4,000 past finalists of all ages, over 80 participating countries and nationalities, over 30 instruments, over 30 qualified judges, and over 40 past international competitions. Each of our finalists has played a vital role in shaping the success and spirit of our musical community. Your passion and talent are greatly appreciated, and we look forward to hearing more performances from you in our future competitions. Bravo to all!
As we embark on a new musical journey in 2024, we are excited to introduce the following new, exciting prizes for our 2024 competitions:
1. Finalists and their music teachers will receive personalized certificates of recognition, their photo and music biography will be published on the results page of our website, and their performance will be shared on our YouTube channel. No traveling required!
2. Our diverse jury of acclaimed, world-class judges from over a dozen countries will evaluate finalist performances.
3. Finalists will join a diverse community of 4,000+ past finalists representing 80+ countries, including musicians currently studying at prestigious universities such as The Juilliard School, Stanford University, and Yale University, as well as world-class virtuosos who have performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, America’s Got Talent, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
4. First Prize winners will receive a personalized confidential letter of recommendation for the college application process upon request. High school finalists in our past competitions have gone on to enroll in prestigious academic institutions such as Harvard University, Cornell University, and the University of California, Berkeley.
5. Finalists will join a legacy of 40+ past competitions, echoed by numerous news articles featuring the success stories of our past winners.
6. Finalists are invited to embark on a musical journey that transcends single competitions—become part of our prestigious Leaderboard. This exclusive recognition is bestowed upon our Top 10 Most Devoted Performers, those who consistently shine as finalists in multiple competitions currently ranging from 6-time finalists to 16-time finalists.
7. Finalists will be eligible for $1,000 in cash prizes awarded to our Top 3 Exceptional Performers, who will also be featured on the front page of our website, will receive a personalized Exceptional Performer certificate, and will be honored with a complimentary branded T-shirt delivered with free international and domestic shipping from our Gift Store.
8. Finalists will receive a Musical Achievement Statement, a written document that outlines their level of musical ability and celebrates their accomplishment based on their prize in their age group and instrument category.
9. First, Second, and Third Prize winners will be able to order a personalized 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Prize Trophy with their name corresponding to their prize at an additional cost.
10. First Prize winners who give their permission will be featured on our Instagram and Facebook pages.
11. The teacher with the most students selected as winners will receive a Teacher of the Month certificate and will be promoted on the front page of our website together with their students.
