We’ll be using this series to explore some prominent deities across a range of spiritualities in the African continent ????

The first painting is of Yemoja, the mother of all Orisas cradling the Ibeji and the second painting is of Ayangalu the #orisa of drums

We’ve experimented with a new style here, taking inspiration from the texture and look of traditional African sculptures and bronzes juxtaposed against vibrant block colours that are overlayed with an abstract version of Adinkra symbols ✨
