Assam created history by recording the “largest Bihu dance performed in a single venue” on April 13. A total of 11,304 artistes, including Bihu dancers (Nasoni) and Dhol players (Dhuliya), performed at the event that took place at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium in Guwahati at about 6 pm.
The record attempt was inspected by the official adjudicator of Guinness World Records Rishi Nath. The previous record was set in 2019 at the Sonaram High School Ground with 500 Nasonis and 100 Dhuliyas.
