Over 100 years ago a profound change was happening to Indian art. The first experiments were made by one of the greatest teachers of classical music, Swami Prabhadevanam. He spent years studying numerous musical compositions and created beautiful sculptures in clay. His musical creations earned him so much love and appreciation that he was adored by the king himself. His clay art was so beautiful and sophisticated that the king admired and loved his clay creations so much that he had him painted in clay colors. When his music performance was shown to the king’s court, it was discovered that his clay paintings weren’t painted in clay colors and were actually painted in brilliant colors with his soul in it!
