Born in Detroit during the golden era of Motown, Deborah Snider has led a vibrant life full of creativity, teaching, and cultural exploration. Her journey has taken her from Michigan to Florida, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and New Mexico, shaping a rich perspective that informs her art.
Her professional path includes roles as a visual arts educator, exhibitions curator, arts administrator, and even stints in banking and marketing. Now, she focuses full-time on her passion: making art that reflects the beauty of the natural world and the depth of human experience.

Deborah’s work often draws on the meditative, symbolic power of mandalas and circular motifs, influenced by both Buddhist and Celtic traditions. She creates art quilts, drawings, and mixed-media collages that center on themes of women, beauty, the environment, social justice, and humanitarian causes.
